Let’s talk Skincare!✨

Skincare doesn’t have to feel like a heavy-duty task. Think of it as a small moment to unwind at the end of the day , maybe with a cup of tea, and give your skin a little love.

Let’s make it simple.

Remember the CTM rule:

C – Cleanse
T – Tone
M – Moisturize

This simple routine forms the foundation of healthy skin.

If you want to treat your skin a little extra, you can add serums (actives). There are many types with different benefits, brightening, hydrating, anti-aging, but we’ll dive into those in another post.

And don’t forget sunscreen in the morning! It’s one of the most important steps for protecting your skin from UV damage, preventing pigmentation, and keeping your glow intact.

1. Cleanser

Choose a gentle cleanser that suits your skin , emphasis on your. Don’t just pick something because a beauty influencer is using it.

Everyone’s skin is different, but for me, Cetaphil works best -gentle, soothing, and keeps my skin happy.

Cleansers remove dirt, oil, sunscreen, and anything else that accumulates on your skin. Starting with a clean base is key for the rest of your routine to work effectively.

Since I started cleansing properly every day, my skin feels calmer and smoother. It’s a small step but makes a noticeable difference.

2. Toner

Using a toner is a personal choice, but I honestly love a hydrating toner.

It refreshes the skin and helps balance your skin’s pH level.

If you’re new to toners, choose something gentle and alcohol-free — it should soothe, not sting.

3. Serum (If Needed)

Serums are great for targeting specific skin concerns:

  • Want brighter skin? → Vitamin C
  • Want to fade dark spots? → Niacinamide
  • Want anti-aging benefits? → Peptides
  • Want extra hydration? → Hyaluronic Acid

Always patch test before fully introducing a new serum. A small test on your inner arm or behind your ear is enough.

4. Moisturizer

Moisturize. Moisturize. Moisturize.
I can’t stress this enough.

A good moisturizer locks in hydration and keeps your skin soft.

My skin tends to be on the drier side, so it loves a rich, nourishing moisturizer.

Even if your skin is oily, a lightweight moisturizer is essential, it helps balance oil production.

5. Sunscreen (Morning Only)

Sunscreen is the most important step!

It protects your skin from UV damage, prevents pigmentation, and keeps your glow longer. I use SPF 30 or 50 depending on the day.

Since I started wearing sunscreen daily, my skin tone looks more even, and I notice fewer dull patches.

Quick Do’s & Don’ts

Do:

  • Patch test new products before using them fully
  • Moisturize morning and night
  • Wear sunscreen daily
  • Over-exfoliate your skin
  • Skip steps thinking your skin “doesn’t need it”

The CTM routine is simple, effective, and works for most skin types. With consistent cleansing, hydration, and sunscreen, your skin will feel healthy, soft, and naturally glowing.

Do you follow a CTM routine too? I’d love to hear your favorite products in the comments!

I’ll share my full personal skincare routine in another post soon, including the exact products I use and love. 💛
